Although you are not allowed to include any html in your comments, you can include links to images or even youtube videos. These links will then be found and auto converted into embeds.

This makes it possible to safely include all sorts of media in your comments.

Notes are are threaded but only very shallow; you may comment upon comments but not upon comments of comments. This helps to keep people on topic whilst still providing enough simple threading to have conversations.

In some cases you may upload an image along with your post, for instance on mod chan where you can upload images as it is an image board.
